Most people have heard that smoking is the most common way to get chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). However, it is possible to get COPD without smoking at all, and that’s exactly what happened to Jesse B.

How Did Jesse Develop COPD?

Often, the environment people live and work in can increase the risk of developing COPD. Jesse is a perfect example of how the environment around you increases this risk. He worked at a laminating machine making vinyl car seat covers, and the air he was breathing at work was constantly filled with smoke and dust. For over 22 years, Jesse worked in these conditions. Then he found out that his work environment had caused him to get COPD.

What Was Jesse’s Life Like Before Treatment at Lung Health Institute?

COPD hit Jesse hard. He’d always been very active around the house, and after his diagnosis, he started to have trouble doing tasks that had always been easy before. As his COPD progressed, cutting the grass wasn’t an option for him any longer. Jesse even struggled to get out of bed and get dressed. He was also using a nebulizer every 4 hours to try to help him be able to breathe.

How Has Jesse’s Life Improved Since His Lung Health Institute treatment?

One day, Jesse and his wife saw an ad on television for Lung Health Institute, and together they talked about giving them a try. His wife told him, “We can do whatever we need to do, and we put it in God’s hands.”
Ultimately, Jesse decided to have faith that God could help him through the team at Lung Health Institute. Just a few weeks after his treatment, Jesse started to see a huge difference in his breathing and his ability to move around. He was able to go back to doing chores around the house. He cuts his grass regularly, and he even washes and changes the oil in his vehicles. Best of all, he has been able to start going to the gym. Jesse routinely goes to the gym 3 or 4 days a week since his treatment to work out with his friends, and he has been able to cut down on using the nebulizer. In fact, he often only uses it once every day.
Jesse is thankful for the help and support he’s gotten from his friends, family and doctors, but most importantly, he and his wife are thankful that God has blessed his health since finding Lung Health Institute. Jesse also encourages other COPD patients to put their faith in Lung Health Institute, and he says, “Get the treatment if you can do it.”

Find Out More About the Lung Health Institute Treatment That Helped Jesse

Lung Health Institute offers several treatment options for people with COPD and other chronic lung diseases. The treatment that was so helpful for Jesse is a minimally invasive procedure we call cellular therapy
This procedure uses concentrated platelets and other cells from your body to target lung disease. These platelets release healing properties that, when combined with proteins, growth factors and other beneficial cells, may help to heal damaged tissue and reduce inflammation in your lungs.
We also offer an Anti-Inflammatory Initiative, or AI2™, plan that’s designed to help boost your immune system and train your body to fight inflammation with fats.
